Wound - is a table designed from a combination of raw concrete and rusted metal, reflecting a minimalist and industrial aesthetic. Below is a concept and description based on the materials and dimensions provided: Conceptual Description: This strikingly minimal side table, positioned next to a chair, brings together two materials—raw concrete and oxidized metal—each contributing its own symbolic weight and aesthetic. Raw Concrete: The unrefined, textured surface of the concrete body, with its imposing 136 kg mass, represents permanence, strength, and stability. Its roughness and industrial look bring an urban, raw charm into modern interiors, evoking the resilience of architectural structures. Oxidized Metal: The rusted metal plate, elegantly inserted into the concrete, introduces a contrasting material that has aged naturally over time. The oxidation speaks to time's passage and nature's role in reclaiming human-made objects, adding a layer of warmth to the otherwise cold and heavy concrete. Material and Dimensions: Concrete Base: Height: 65 cm Width: 28 cm Depth: 28 cm The weight of the concrete alone (136 kg) anchors the piece in the space, symbolizing grounding and endurance, with clean lines that add a modern edge. Metal Plate Surface: Thickness: 8 mm Width: 70 cm Depth: 30 cm Positioned 54 cm from the ground, this metal surface is delicately integrated, creating a harmonious balance between raw industrial strength and functional, refined form. Despite its slender profile, the plate extends confidently outward, offering both visual and physical utility.
