University of Liechtenstein. Institute of Architecture and Planning. Studio: Architectural Theory and Design. Prof: Alberto Alessi When I started integrating my conceptual vision of studiollos in The Villa Hadrian I decided to start analyzing what was important for me on this project site. Villa Hadrian for me is an incredibly organized composition of forms built with axes. Every building that is part of this complex is part of the whole composition. The axes of the buildings are what create this system and symmetry. The axes direct visitors from one building to another. They guide people from one space into completely different. I wanted to create new axe with three my Studiollos. I decided to make them follow one direction but at the same time synchronize with composition and symmetry and Complexity of the Villa. These three new buildings are completely different from one another. The Architecture that I used was based on the simple concept to create a comfortable space for reading a book. For me the building of 10 000 Books was supposed to be a "levitated form", because a Book for me is an object that makes human mind to detach from the reality and make it concentrate on a different level. I wanted to create spaces that will guide visitors through whole Villa, through ruins or around them. Buildings were supposed to integrate into Villa but be completely new and different from everything. I found my inspiration of shapes in Books and pages. A quick sketch of a conceptual vision.
