Chito Gvrito Restaurant The name Chito Gvrito refers to a song featured in the film Mimino, which became the starting point for the interior concept. The aim was to express the character of Georgia without directly copying a traditional Georgian interior. Instead, the design uses familiar cultural images, rich colours, handcrafted details and the atmosphere of a shared meal. The restaurant is located on the eighth floor of the Wyndham Garden Burabay hotel. Its panoramic windows overlook the lake and mountains. The interior was designed to keep the landscape as the main focus. Warm wood, green and wine-red tones, ceramics, rugs and woven textures complement the natural surroundings. In the main dining hall, parquet flooring is combined with patterned tile inserts, creating the effect of a large patchwork rug. The same idea continues in the upholstery and textiles. Large groups of woven pendant lights add rhythm to the high ceiling without blocking the views. The bar, wine cabinets and open wooden shelves are integrated into the architecture. References to Mimino continue throughout the restaurant. Graphic portraits of the film’s characters appear in the main hall, while photographs and film posters turn the corridor into a small gallery. The two VIP rooms have different moods. The first combines natural green tones with a wooden relief panel depicting Zhumbaktas Rock, connecting the Georgian theme with the landscape of Burabay. The second uses deep wine-red colours, paintings and curved wall panels. Patterns, textiles and woven lighting link both rooms to the main hall.
