VELOR Academy of Hospitality and Service VELOR Academy in Astana is an educational space of 897.91 m² designed as a working hotel. The interior is not only a setting for learning. It is part of the training process. The academy includes a lobby with a reception desk, a hotel room, a restaurant, a professional kitchen, classrooms, a library and a coworking area. Students practise real service scenarios in these spaces, from welcoming and checking in guests to table service and room preparation. This helps them understand the complete guest experience and see how interior design can affect the quality of service. All areas share one visual language. Deep blue is used as a clear visual guide, warm wood makes the spaces more welcoming, and light stone highlights the public areas. The reception desk creates the first impression. A metal portal with a geometric pattern marks the transition from the lobby to the restaurant and gives the interior a distinct identity. The wide range of finishes also supports the training programme. The project uses porcelain tiles, marble, parquet, laminate, vinyl flooring and carpet. Painted walls, decorative plaster, veneer, laminated chipboard, painted MDF and film-coated MDF provide different types of surfaces. Housekeeping students can learn how these materials are used and practise the correct care and maintenance methods inside the academy. Each practical area has its own atmosphere. Soft lighting, woven textures and patterns make the restaurant more intimate. The hotel room feels calm and private. The library and coworking area support both independent study and communication. VELOR is not a display that simply looks like a hotel. It is a working environment where hospitality is learned in practice, from the point of view of both the employee and the guest.
