Location: Jordan - Wadi Rum Desert
The shape of the building is derived from a modified cube and consists of 2 floors with a total area of 456 m². On the first floor, there is a kitchen, a living space, a library, a workspace, and a music area with instruments. The second floor houses three bedrooms and a veranda-like area where a light metal structure is installed, serving as a shade. The fabric forms hanging from the metal structure create wave-like shapes when the wind blows. Why is the building called Beduin Lighthouse? Nowadays, electricity is not available in every corner of the Earth, which forces the local population to find different ways to solve this problem. That is why the light source of this building is 1 liter of water. During the day, the water capsule installed on the roof of the building refracts sunlight and produces 50 watts of light for the room. And of course, it is also environmentally clean.
