The project was called “HYGGE” which was decisive in the concept. The main idea was to create a cozy and functional space with virtually no walls and no visual noise, for young student to live in with the goal of renting out in the future. The main advantage of the project is attic ceilings of 5 meters, a lot of light and a beautiful view of the Caspian Sea. Given the rather modest dimensions of the project, the author decided to play on contrasts by hanging a huge lamp with a diameter of 1.30 in the middle of the small living room! The style for the project was agreed upon instantly and unanimously - Japandi. The name of the style comes from Japan and Scandi, and this is a relatively new direction in the interior - it unites two completely different cultures and demonstrates their aesthetic kinship. After all, “Hygge” is one of the components of Japandi, but it is softer, more comfortable and more soulful. A travertine coffee table, a wooden art object in the corner of the room and a translucent partition reminiscent of Japanese Shoji were created according to the designer’s original drawings.
