მდებარეობა: 3 Zviad Gamsakhurdia Named Right Bank, Tbilisi, Georgia
The Military Museum, located on the Zviad Gamsakhurdia Right Bank in Tbilisi, Georgia, is a tribute to Georgia's rich history and the memory of its national heroes. Once a small island surrounded by the Kura River, this area holds historical significance. After the Soviet era, the riverbed was altered, and the construction of highways along the river's edge disconnected the area from the natural waterfront. In this project, I sought to reconnect the space with its historical roots and the community by creating a public gathering place that reestablishes access to the river. The museum's design integrates modern minimalistic architecture with extensive greenery, offering an inviting, peaceful atmosphere for reflection and learning. One of the priorities during this project's development was public accessibility. The design restores access to the river, making it a gathering place for people to connect with history and nature. Open spaces with green areas encourage community interaction and leisure. Sustainability is also an important component. The museum features green roofs and landscaping that enhance the environment and reduce ecological impact. Sustainable materials and design approaches ensure energy efficiency and environmental harmony. This project aimed to Dedicate itself to preserving Georgia's military history and honoring the heroes who shaped its destiny. The museum is an educational and cultural hub, introducing visitors to Georgia's proud heritage.
