The project proposes a multifunctional concert complex on a 7-hectare site in Didi Dighomi, Tbilisi. It aims to support the decentralisation of cultural life and establish a new focal point for public activity within a developing part of the city. Bringing together music, performing arts, and everyday social activities, the complex strengthens the district’s identity and broadens Tbilisi’s cultural landscape. The architectural concept is rooted in the spatial interpretation of music. Curving volumes, soft transitions, and the rhythmic composition of the façade express the movement and continuity of sound. Bordered by three streets, the site informs the building’s multidirectional orientation: the complex addresses all three streets and engages its surroundings through a cohesive, continuous composition. The transparent lower level connects with the public realm, while the monumental volume rising above it emphasises the significance of the main hall. The central domed foyer serves as a place for gathering and cultural exchange, where the concert experience begins before the performance itself. The complex accommodates a 1,200-seat main hall and a 400-seat smaller hall, alongside rehearsal and exhibition spaces, a restaurant, and support facilities. This diversity of public functions enables everyday use beyond the concert programme. The spatial organisation follows the progression of a musical composition: movement from the garden through the foyer and towards the main hall gradually prepares visitors for the emotional experience of the performance. The landscape is integral to this concept. Curved pathways, terraced planting, a reflecting pool, and spaces for relaxation extend the architectural rhythm outdoors. The interplay of perforated metal, glass, and composite panels transforms the building’s appearance with changing light and viewpoints. The result is a cohesive cultural environment in which architecture and landscape come together as a shared setting for public life.
