The client was very clear: “Just no red.” Ironically, this became the starting point for the whole design. Instead of avoiding colour, we chose a warm and rich palette, from milky and powdery shades to chocolate and terracotta. Today, this colour combination has become the signature of the apartment. The interior combines simple architecture with expressive materials. In the living room and kitchen, the walls and ceiling are painted in the same colour. This makes the space feel calm and cohesive, while the furniture and decor stand out more. The textured walls create a soft background for the graphic and glossy details. Porcelain stoneware with a natural stone pattern and warm red tones is used in several areas. It frames the doorways, continues onto the entrance floor and becomes the kitchen backsplash. The same material connects different parts of the apartment while serving different purposes. Dark wood adds contrast to the stone. Its rich texture works especially well with the warm walls and soft upholstery. Herringbone parquet brings extra warmth and makes the architecture feel softer. Mirrors are not only functional. They create new views and reflections, making the rooms feel deeper and more spacious. The bedroom is the most private and intimate space in the apartment. Here, the colour palette becomes softer. One of the walls features a large original artwork that continues the theme of lines and shapes used throughout the interior. The apartment does not try to impress at first glance. Its beauty is in the details: deep colours, reflections, soft textiles and textured walls. The main result was turning “just no red” into a love for terracotta and brown. The balance between a bold design and a comfortable home turned out to be the perfect fit for the owner.
